FEELIN' FINE IN 2009

I have started this new year out right. I gave up something that I would say is a vice to me..soda pop. Yep, I know that someone is laughing at me but I don't care, it was serious. I could go through a 2 liter in a day. I have drank one soda a day since I was in high school, over 10 years ago thanks to the quarter pops at IGA. It was an addiction. Mello Yello was my best friend. I did it to see many great things happen this year. And they are. All thanks to God. I'd be silly to think it is anything else.

But this is a crafty/artsy blog and so I will contribute to that. I found this knit motorcycle posted on twitter today! I can't give props to the artist because I don't know who it is. Anyone know? This is so cool!

Do you wear shoes? Or know someone who does?

I heard it said that if you have 2 shoes, a bed with a pillow and a warm place of shelter with a roof over your head and you ate something today...you are in the top 25% of the wealthiest people in the world! Now, what can we have to not be thankful for? What more can we give?

I got our family photos in and am assembling Christmas cards..eep hope to get them sent TODAY!

And as for art!! NADA! And I have to make two very detailed pieces for my mom and grandma. I have to because for the past several years they ask me if I made their gift, and reluctantly I have to say, "no" and see disappointment. I have to do this because I said!

i was working on a quilt piece and it got the best of me. so i'm taking a break from that.

I have recouped an itch to do something creative! I wanted to participate in Illustration Friday with this work of our bulldog, Daisy. The topic is pretend.

I said sometimes she like to pretend she is a dainty lady.
